Dynamic Replacement (DR)

Dynamic Replacement (DR) technique, inducing energy on the principle of dynamic compaction by dropping of the pounder into the ground, forms a column of improved imported granular soils by replacement of the existing finer soils adopting the purpose of stone column construction. This technique is applicable to the .

Process

A carefully chosen material is driven into the ground, displacing or replacing the existing soil to create sturdy columns of compacted material. Atop this, a surface blanket of compacted selected material spreads the load and reinforces these compact columns.

Common Uses:

  • Amplify Load-Bearing Resilience
  • Minimize Settling Risks
  • Counteract Liquefaction Vulnerability
  • Diminish Sinkhole Susceptibility

Advantages

  • Changing soil characteristics improved bearing capacity Settlement mitigation Reduced liquefaction potential
